WebP Format

Some of my images online and most my images in downloads are now in WebP format (even in the EPUBs). Seeing them requires you to use (PC, Mac, Linux, or Android) Google Chrome, Google Chrome OS, (PC, Mac, or Linux) Firefox, (PC or Mac) Microsoft Egde (since January 2020) or iOS (iPhones and iPads) 14 or Mac OS 11.

Yes WebP now works on Macs with Safari and iOS (if you are on a new enough version). iOS 14 (and 15) will even work as far back as the iPhone 6S. This free software update was released in the fall of 2020 for Macs, iPads, and iPhones.

You can't see some of my pictures in the simplified version or on a phone size device or smaller. This is deliberate as this saves bandwidth for unneeded pictures or pictures that cannot be seen well on a small display. I have since removed most unnecessary pictures from the web pages themselves, although you can still download most of them.

To see the graphics of the infographics section on a phone, download the EPUB with pictures or WebP in Zip file images versions (or PDF). EPUB graphics are exclusively in WebP format so the only EPUB viewer that I know can currently display this is Apple Books app which comes for free with Apple devices and Macs, but you need to have iOS version 14 for the Apple devices or Mac OS 11 for Macs.
